It could have turned out a lot worse had it not been for the intervention of three men in the K-V.
They saw a woman being assaulted and dragged into the woods behind the Atlantic Veterinary Hospital on Hampton Road shortly before 5:00 in the afternoon and acted to stop the assault.
That’s when the attacker took off but he was later arrested by Kennebecasis Regional Police.
A 45 year old Saint John man will be appearing in court today to be formally charged.
The woman was taken to the Regional Hospital for stitches to her face.
