Up to 1,200 athletes from all over Atlantic Canada and the northeastern U.S. will descend on Saint John from June 26th to the 28th for the first ever East Coast Games. The games will feature seven sports including swimming, soccer, rugby, basketball, softball, track & field and lacrosse. This will be one of the largest sports tournaments to be held in Saint John since the 1985 Canada Games.

‘TEAM MILL RATS’ has registered to enter the Basketball Tournament for a chance to win $1 million dollars this summer. The championship rounds will be televised on ESPN in August. Teams earn the right to participate in the tournament by the number of fans who support them and the fans who do will share $50,000 of the winning prize.
At the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship, Canada winning 8-4 over Switzerland and 7-1 over Scotland to earn a playoff berth.
