The Winnipeg Jets have traded embattled left winger Evander Kane to the Buffalo Sabres in a seven-player trade. The Jets get defenseman Tyler Myers, forwards Drew Stafford and Joel Armia, the rights to 2014 second-round pick Brendan Lemieux along with Buffalo’s latest first-round pick in 2015. Buffalo acquires Kane, defenseman Zach Bogosian and college goaltender Jason Kasdorf.
In the NHL, Daniel Sedin scores in overtime to give Vancouver a 5-4 win over Chicago…..Pittsburgh defeated Detroit 4-1 and Washington got by San Jose in overtime, 5-4.
In the NBA, a late jumper by DeMar DeRozen with 12 seconds left giving the Raptors a 95-93 win over Washington….Cleveland won for the 14th time in its last 15 games, 113-93 over Miami and the Boston Celtics upset Atlanta 99-98 on a last second shot.
