In the Majors, Danny Valencia hit a three run homer, Kevin Pillar had a solo shot as the Blue Jays beat the New York Mets 8-0 behind Drew Hutchison…….The Red Sox, who began the night in last place and eight games out in the A-L East, lost to Atlanta 5-2…..Micheal Pineda had a no hitter into the 7th as the Yankees got by Miami 2-1……Tampa Bay stayed one game ahead with a 5-0 win over Washington while Baltimore downed Philadelphia 6-4.

In a matchup of two of the best pitchers in baseball, Felix Hernandez outdueled Madison Bumgarner with Seattle shutting out San Francisco 2-0.

In the Women’s World Cup, Brazil maintains a perfect record, blanking Costa Rica 1-0……England got by Colombia 2-1 to advance to the knockout stage…..France shut out Mexico 5-0 and South Korea eliminates Spain 2-1.
