Following a hard hit, the Flames’ Dennis Wideman crosschecking a linesman in Calgary’s 2-1 loss to Nashville. He did not get a penalty and he says it wasn’t intentional. Tampa Bay shut out Toronto 1-zip, Steven Stamkos with the only goal.
The Avalanche got by the Kings 4-3 and the Flyers beat the Caps 4-3 in OT.

In the NBA, the LA Clippers beating Atlanta 85-83 without Blake Griffin. the Pistons downed the 76ers 110-97, Klay Thompson had 45 points as the Warriors beat the Mavericks 127-107. The Jazz over the Hornets 102-73, the Cavs beat the Suns 115-93 and Boston beat Denver 111-103.
The Spurs beat the Rockets 130-99 and Oklahoma City beat Minnesota 126-123.
