Tipsy Canada 150 Revellers Keep City Police Hopping

Many Saint Johners got a jump start on their Canada Day celebrating last night.

City police had 87 calls for service between 7 last night and 6 this morning.

Most of those calls involving intoxicated people with charges ranging from breaching the peace, assaulting a police officer and impaired driving.

The police lock-up had several overnight visitors and a few are hanging around for remand court.
