Quispamsis Town Council started out its budget deliberations with the prospect of a six cent increase in the tax rate with the result some of the recommendations will have to be deferred or denied altogether.
One big proposal not going ahead next year is a new ball field on Hampton Road at a cost of half a million dollars.
Town Council is also against spending 50 thousand dollars on a master recreation plan.
Repaving will not take place at the Q-Plex parking lot next year even though the cost of doing so late could double.
