Another record in the books for Saint John track and field athlete Erin Vringer.

The Grade 12 student at Saint John High competed in the provincial track and field championships this weekend.

Vringer broke Olympian Geneviève Lalonde’s senior girls’ record of 4:36.13 in the 1500-metre by 3.71 seconds.

In the 800-metre event, Vringer missed Lalonde’s record of 2:13.90 by less than a second.
