There’s a tractor trailer on fire on the highway 1 westbound by Strescon just past exit 129.
Highway 1 Westbound was temporarily closed to all traffic although cars were moving through slowly again as of 7:30am. Vehicles were also being diverted onto Rothesay Ave or Foster Thurston.
Police say emergency crews are on scene and are asking you to please avoid the area. Crews are also reporting a lot of black ice on the roads making conditions treacherous.
Another road warrior called in to let us know a vehicle crashed and flipped on its roof just past the ferry on Nerepis Road going toward the city.
