Tractor-trailer overturns in Musquash

One person was taken to the hospital after a tractor-trailer overturned and hit a utility pole west of Saint John.

Emergency crews were called to the scene along Route 790 in Musquash around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The Musquash Fire Department says the driver was trapped in the vehicle when they arrived on the scene.

Firefighters had to use specialized hydraulic equipment to cut the driver out of the truck.

Fire officials say the driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
