The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption starting on Thursday, April 16 on Sydney Street and Britain Street.

Description of work: Street reconstruction.
During construction, Britain Street (from Sydney Street to Carmarthen Street) will be temporarily converted to two‑way traffic, and on‑street parking will not be permitted for the duration of the work. Local access will be maintained where possible, and signage will be in place to help direct traffic around the construction area.
The work will include replacing the existing watermain and sanitary sewer, installing a new storm sewer, and renewing water and sewer service lines to each property up to the property line. Once underground work is complete, the street will be fully reconstructed with new concrete curbs and sidewalks, fresh roadway gravel and asphalt, grass medians, tree plantings, and updated signage.
