Traffic delays in uptown Saint John

Drivers should expect some delays and detours in the uptown Friday.

The City of Saint John has advised of a traffic interruption on Germain Street.

The street will be closed through traffic between King and Grannan streets from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The closure is necessary for major building renovations taking place in the area.

Businesses will remain open while the work is being done. Road signs and sidewalk signs will be in place.
