Traffic Issues Create Slowdowns For Drivers

Hopefully no one ran out of gas following a crash yesterday on Highway 1 eastbound across from the Circle K.

A two vehicle collision on Highway 1 westbound around 1130 in the morning sending three to hospital and causing a traffic headache for many.

KV Fire crews needed extrication gear to get three people out of two vehicles.

Later in the day, another traffic headache when a transport broke down in the eastbound on-ramp to Highway 1 at Wall Street.

The driveshaft on a transport broke causing a diesel fuel leak in the on ramp and it was blocked for a period of time.

A truckload of sand was brought in to cover the fuel spill while City police provided traffic control in the area and Saint John fire crews tried to stop the leak and assist the driver.

Eventually the broken down vehicle was towed away and the ramp was re-opened to traffic.
