Traffic Stop Leads To Charges

Two women are facing charges following a traffic stop in Saint John’s north end.

It happened along Chesley Drive between Main Street and Hilyard Street on Monday night.

Police spokesperson Jim Hennessy said they had received reports of a stolen vehicle from Halifax.

Hennessy said a 24-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

They were released on conditions and will appear in court at a later date, he said.
