Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges

Police say a Saint John man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop on the city’s west side.

The Saint John Police Force said officers stopped a vehicle on Thursday morning and arrested a 32-year-old man.

In a news release, police said they also seized what is believed to be cocaine and fentanyl, along with cash.

Curtis Furlotte faces several charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, resisting arrest, and possession of the proceeds of crime.

Furlotte remains in custody and is due in court on Monday for a bail hearing.
