Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Seizure, Arrests

Police say a routine traffic stop in west Saint John last week led to two arrests and the seizure of drugs.

Saint John police say they stopped a vehicle with a non-functioning brake light on Friday evening.

“Inside the vehicle, officers found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and forged documents,” the police force said in a news release Wednesday.

Police say a 35-year-old man has since been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.

A 27-year-old man was also arrested in relation to a warrant and breach of an undertaking. He was also released pending a court date.
