It’s been a lot of hard work, with office spaces being dismantled, walls being built, and teachers relocating their classrooms–but the hope is that the students from St. Pat’s school on the West Side will be able to have a seamless first day back at classes at Havelock and Beaconsfield Schools.
Anglophone South Superintendent Zoe Watson tells CHSJ news the idea of a brand new school on the West Side has been identified as a priority since before St Pat’s closed, but this was what they were able to do for the 2014-2015 school year.
No word on when and if a new building would be possible. Watson says they’ve been meeting with parents and families, and soon there will be an open house where the students can unpack and check their new schools out.
