Marissa Shephard is expected to appear in court today to have a trial date set.
She’s facing charges of first degree murder and arson in the death of 18-year old Baylee Wylie in December of 2015.
In early May, Shephard waived her right to a preliminary inquiry which would have determined if there was sufficient evidence to go forward with a trial.
She is the third person to face charges in relation to Wylie’s death, the others being Tyler Noel, and Devin Morningstar.
Morningstar was convicted of first degree murder and arson and sentenced to life in prison in November for his role – he has since filed an appeal of his conviction.
Tyler Noel plead guilty in May to second degree murder and arson – and he is scheduled to be sentenced July 12th.
Second degree murder carries an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for 10 to 25 years.
