The late Dr. Jim Parrot is being described as a stand up guy on word of his death.
He ran unsuccessfully against Liberal cabinet minister Rick Doucet in the last provincial election. Doucet says the campaign never got personal and after it was over, they shook hands and Dr. Parrot invited him to visit his farm and winery. Doucet says one of his big regrets is not getting the chance to take up the invitation.
