The Stanley Cup final is tied at two games a piece after Nashville defeated Pittsburgh 4-1. Frederick Gaudreau, a 24-year-old rookie for the Predators, is the second player in NHL history to score his first three career goals in a Stanley Cup Final.

An assistant coach with the Saint John Vitos, Maurice Arsenault has been awarded the Gordon Juckes Award by Hockey Canada for his contributions to hockey at the national level. Arsenault also teaches at Rothesay High.

The Astros have now won 11 in a row and have the best record in baseball.

The former mixed martial arts fighter known as War Machine has been sentenced in Nevada to life in prison for the kidnapping, beating and sexually assault of his former girlfriend and attack on another man at her Las Vegas home in 2014. Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver will be eligible for parole in 36 years, when he’ll be 71 years of age.
