In the NHL, Tim Heed scored a tiebreaking goal on the power play early in the third period in San Jose’s 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs……Montreal beat Ottawa 8-3 as Charles Hudon scored two goals and added an assist……Boston lost to Columbus in a shootout 4-3…..Elsewhere, it was St. Louis 4 Los Angeles 2 with Jake Allen in goal for the Blues…….Arizona 4 Philadelphia 3 in overtime…..The Islanders 6 Las Vegas 3…..Tampa Bay 8 Florida 5 and Dallas 2 Vancouver 1 in overtime.

Game six of the World Series will be played tonight in Los Angeles with the Dodgers trailing Houston 3 games to 2…..The Astros will start Justin Verlander against Rich Hill for the Dodgers. The game is scheduled to start at 9:20 Atlantic time.
