Major Crime is investigating a pair of armed robberies that happened within 45 minutes of one ahother last night.
The first holdup happened at Waterloo and Peters Street. Police say a man was approached by two other men in their 20’s who asked him for change. He was then assaulted with a weapon and suffered minor injuries. The two made off with about $60.
The second robbery happened in the parking lot of Cornerstone Baptist Church on Leinster Street. Police were told a man was approached by someone he knew who then brandished a weapon and got away with his phone and some money but police say they have a suspect.
