Two Collisions Lead To Charges Against Moncton Man

A 34-year-old Moncton man has been charged following two collisions in southeastern New Brunswick.

RCMP were called to the scene of a collision near the Cocagne Marina on Sunday afternoon. A car rear-ended another before leaving the scene.

About 15 minutes later, a car rear-ended a vehicle on Highway 15 near Lakeview and then went into the ditch. Two other vehicles collided as a result.

The driver fled the scene on foot, but a man was arrested a short distance away.

Mathieu Joseph Paul Leger has been charged with prohibited driving,

Anyone who may have seen a 2012 grey Honda Civic with New Brunswick licence plate JPK 006 in the area of Cocagne, Scoudouc or Lakeville on June 30, or who may have information that can assist the investigation, is asked to contact the Shediac Detachment of the Southeast District RCMP at 506-533-5151.
