Two Injured After Car Hits Taxi In Fredericton

One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a weekend crash in Fredericton.

Police said three people were trying to get into a taxi on Queen Street when it was hit by a car just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

One woman was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries while a second person suffered minor injuries, according to police.

They said the third person and the driver of the taxi escaped with no injuries.

Investigators said a 30-year-old man was arrested, adding that they believe alcohol was a factor in the collision.
