Two Killed After Car, School Bus Collide

Two people are dead after a school bus and a car collided in northern New Brunswick.

Mounties say the crash happened on Route 11 between Charlo and Black Point on Tuesday.

RCMP first posted about the collision on social media around 1:15 p.m.

Just before 4:45 p.m., police confirmed the two passengers in the car died at the scene from their injuries.

It is unknown how many people were on the bus and if any of them were hurt.

“We will share more information when we are able to do so,” RCMP said in a post on social media.

Route 11 was closed to traffic for several hours but reopened by 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.
