Two M-L-A’s Claim School Closure Policy Is Divisive

Two Conservative M-L-A’s, Trevor Holder of Portland-Simonds and Gary Crossman of Hampton, are calling for a review of the current policy on closing schools when enrollments decline.

Holder is not happy with what’s happening now in Saint John with 7 schools on the chopping block.

Holder says there was no public input before a report on the schools was compiled by Ernst and Young. Parents fear that report will form the basis of the final decision. A recommendation could come as early as next month.
