Two MLAs Sworn In As Cabinet Ministers

New Brunswick MLAs Bruce Fitch and Glen Savoie have been sworn into their new ministerial positions.

Fitch becomes the new Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture, and Savoie is the minister responsible for La Francophonie.

A ceremony took place at Government House in Fredericton late Monday.

The two new ministers were named last week to fill holes left when Robert Gauvin stepped away from the Conservative party over controversial health-care reforms.

Premier Blaine Higgs did not fill the deputy premier role.
