Two more medals for Team New Brunswick on Wednesday at the 2022 Canada Summer Games in Niagara, Ont.
Para swimmers Jesse Canney of Durham Bridge and Ella Tucker of Sackville each won bronze in their 100-metre breaststroke para events.
New Brunswick has now collected six medals at the 2022 Summer Games, all from competition in the pool.
That includes three bronze and two silver by Canney, along with Tucker’s bronze medal.
Canney will return to the pool for two more events on Thursday.
New Brunswick’s mountain bike team competition saw both the men and women place fifth in their respective events.
Coming up on Thursday, the men’s soccer team plays a crucial game against Ontario. The winner will play in Friday’s gold medal game while the other team plays for bronze.
Also on Thursday, the women’s basketball team plays Quebec and the men’s squad faces Nova Scotia in quarterfinal matches.
Triathlon returns to competition with the super sprint events for both men and women, while the wrestlers hit the mats for individual bouts.
There are also women’s rugby sevens, softball, box lacrosse and tennis competitions.
