The U.S. has attacked Syria with cruise missiles in retaliation for the Syrian military using chemical weapons, believed to be Sarin gas, earlier this week which killed more than 80 people in a rebel held town, including several children.
59 tomahawk missiles were fired from American warships at a Syrian air base which reportedly sustained extensive damage, if not destruction. It’s believed the planes with chemical weapons had taken off from that air base.
President Donald Trump says when it comes to Syria, enough is enough and what has been tried in the past to change the behaviour of Syrian leader Bashir Al-Assad has not worked.
Russia was given the head’s up before the attack happened. Russian leader Vladimir Putin is calling it an act of aggression against a sovereign nation and will damage relations with the U.S.
