A partnership between the University of New Brunswick and CCNB, will mean a new program for several Colleges in the province that teaches Autistic Intervention Training.
The program was created by UNB in 2004.
Executive Director for Continuous Learning Michel Doucet says it will be provided in English and French, and will offer valuable tools to those working with Autistic clients in New Brunswick and elsewhere, “We’re very excited to be able to roll out this important program that we hope is going to create a leverage and introduce an awareness, and concepts to allow people working with Autism patients, to increase their level of learning. The beauty of this partnership, is that it allows CCNB, to capitalize and work with UNB on the research and development side. All of the research from this program comes from UNB and its team of professionals.”
Doucet says the program will be a good fit for past graduates of early childhood, human services, health nurses and youth care workers.
The 13 week program will be available at the Colleges starting in the fall.
