The first numbers from 2015 are in on the employment outlook for the province, and it’s not a very positive picture.
According to Stascan, New Brunswick’s unemployment rate jumped from 9.6% in November to 10.2 % in December. The labour force also grew to 389,000 people which is an increase of 1900 people over November.
In Saint John County, unemployment is at 7.4%.
The province lost 800 part time positions while only gaining about 400 full-time jobs.
