Unions Support Postal Workers In Rothesay Avenue Picket

Members of CUPE and other unions are showing support for members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers in a picket line at the Canada Post main office on Rothesay Avenue.

Chris Watson of the Saint John District Labour Council tells us they are showing support for postal workers because the worker’s rights to free collective bargaining has been legislated away by the federal government.

He calls this unfair and unjust.

There are Saint John police officers on site.

We are told that vehicles and customers trying to enter and leave the facility are being delayed.
