A 23 year old man has been arrested in connection with the explosion at the Manchester Arena last night.

The death toll has risen to 22, and there are 59 who were injured. Officials now say that children are among the dead.

Chief Constable Ian Hopkins, of the Greater Manchester Police says This is the most horrific incident they have ever had to face in Greater Manchester, and one they had never hoped to ever see.

The explosion went off during an Ariana Grande concert yesterday, and the incident is being treated as a terrorism. Hopkins says the attacker who was carrying an improvised explosive device, died at the arena, but police are still trying to determine if he acted alone or part of a large network.

Hopkins adds, they are working with the National Counter Terrorist Policing Network and UK Intelligence services to establish who the individual was.

More than 400 officers have been involved in the investigation overnight..

A number has been set up for anyone who may be concerned for their loved ones in The UK.
