UPDATE: Man wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested

Saint John police say a 43-year-old man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested.

The man was arrested without incident on Thursday, police said in a release.

He was accused of breaching the conditions of his statutory release.

The accused is serving a sentence of just over two years for more than 30 convictions, including:

  • assault
  • theft over $5,000
  • 14 counts of theft under $5,000
  • 14 counts of failing to comply with a probation order
  • failing to attend court
  • obstructing a public/peace officer
  • offence under the Motor Vehicle Act
