Saint John police say a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested.
The 42-year-old was taken into custody by Fredericton police late last week, police said Monday.
He was accused of breaching the conditions of his statutory release by possessing and consuming a controlled substance.
The man was serving a sentence of more than six-and-a-half years on a variety of charges, including robbery and several firearm-related offences.
