The search for a missing 75-year-old man in Saint John has come to a tragic end.
Police said the body of Brian Lynch was discovered late Tuesday afternoon.
Lynch was last seen in his boat Monday afternoon tying up to a buoy offshore in the Beach Road area.
A joint rescue coordination team conducted an extensive search of the shoreline and waters by boat and helicopter.
It includes the Saint John Police Force, Saint John Fire Department, Canadian Coast Guard, Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA), CFB Greenwood Search and Rescue, and the J Division RCMP Dive Team.
