City police called to Lily Lake early this morning after a report of a body in the water.
When officers arrived in the area near the Interpretation Center just before 7am, they learned from someone out for a walk that a body could be seen floating
facedown in the water.
It was determined that the man in the water was deceased and they think he was in his 50’s.
Because of the items found nearby, police don’t think the man was from Saint John.
An autopsy is being performed to determine the official cause of death.
