A small chlorine leak this morning at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre led to some anxious moments by those having a swim.
The Saint John Fire Department was called around 10:30 after the operations manager Mark Curran of the centre noticed a leak in the stem of a 150 pound chlorine tank.

Platoon Chief Barry Oickle tells CHSJ News they arrived and moved everyone out of the pool area and had them stay in the lobby.
Once it was confirmed the levels in the changing rooms were safe, people were allowed to go back in and change in case a full evacuation was needed.
Oickle says they used their own capping device to seal the tank, then checked to see if there were any leaks.
He says it could have been much worse if the tank was full and ruptured it could have lead to a major toxic inhalation event.
