The three levels of government are investing a combined $4.4 million on seven infrastructure projects in Saint John.
The announcement was made Tuesday morning at the Carleton Community Centre on the west side, which will see upgrades to its heating and cooling system and some new energy-efficient windows.

Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long says the funding will also support road resurfacing on King Street and Main Street West, as well as Marlin Drive and Marlin Terrace in the north end.
Long tells CHSJ News he is reminded daily of just how old Saint John is.
“Water and sewer projects obviously prioritized by the city that come to us are incredibly important for us to fund because without that infrastructure below ground things don’t happen below ground.” Long says.
The projects also include work on Rockland Road and Visart Street in the North end and on Wentworth Street and Chipman Hill uptown.
Saint John Mayor Don Darling tells CHSJ News this kind of announcement gets the closest to the citizens.
“We take for granted sometimes turning the tap and good clean safe water coming out and making sure our sewer systems are working. These are incredibly important investments by a city.” Darling says.
