Route 7 near Welsford has reopened to traffic this morning after a collision involving a tractor-trailer Wednesday evening.

RCMP Corporal Jullie Rogers-Marsh tells us that they received a call just after 8:30 p.m. that the collision happened near mile marker 60.
“It involved a tractor-trailer colliding with some of the barricades, there is a construction zone there,” says Cpl. Rogers-Marsh.
“So it was only the tractor-trailer that was involved in the collision.”
Due to a collision, Highway 7 near Welsford is currently closed. Traffic is being diverted.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
New Brunswick RCMP posted on their Twitter account around 9 p.m. Wednesday that traffic was being diverted.
RCMP is continuing to investigate the crash.
