‘Tis the season of giving but the Kennebecasis Regional police force is warning of one group that you shouldn’t give your hard-earned money to unless they show you a Town permit.
The KV police say recently a group called the Children’s Joy Foundation has been going door to door soliciting donations of cash and do not have a permit to do so. The police say this is a legitimate charity which is in the process of getting a town permit but that they still need to produce the permit.
The department says several complaints have already come into police from the Saint John and KV areas.
