It’s been a rough period for convenience stores in this area and armed robberies.
City police are looking into two armed robberies on the weekend in Saint John that may have been done by the same man.
About 11pm on Saturday night, a man carrying a baseball bat entered the Pizza Delight on Main street west and demanded cash from the clerk.
On Sunday night, a man who was carrying a baseball bat, went into the Snacker’s convenience store on Milford Road and demanded cash from the clerk.
He got away with some cash in both cases and while both store clerks were shaken up no one was hurt.
At the beginning of the month, the Airport General Store and the Garden Street Irving, were also robbed and in February, Sam’s Variety and Korner Grocery were robbed. Arrests were made in those robberies.
