It is a painstaking process in Courtroom #8 at the Saint John Law Courts building where a recount of the ballots for the riding of Saint John Harbour is underway.

PC candidate Barry Ogden asked for the recount which can be triggered for any win of 25 votes or less.
Ogden lost to Liberal candidate Gerry Lowe by just 10 votes on election night.
Judge Hugh McLellan is presiding over the recount and is being assisted by lawyers representing Ogden and Lowe as well as staff from Elections NB.
Kim Poffenroth tells us it will be a couple of days before this is all wrapped up.
Meanwhile, another recount for the riding of Memramcook-Tantramar is underway in Moncton and a third starts tomorrow for the riding of Oromocto-Lincoln-Fredericton.
The perusal of ballots in the special ballot boxes has begun. Looking for any Saint john Harbour ballots or as Judge McKellan says “ the needle in the haystack”.
