UPDATED: Threatening Voicemail Led To Lockdown

A strange and scary day at Hampton High with RCMP on site after the Anglophone South School District put a precautionary lockdown in place.

Superintendent Zoe Watson tells CHSJ News this morning when staff arrived at the school there was a voicemail message that was left overnight and it was of a threatening nature.

“The building, Hampton High School, is in what we call a hold and secure state where classes are going on, as usual, the building is secured and students are staying inside the building. We have been working with the RCMP and there is an RCMP presence at Hampton high school both inside and out.

Watson says the police have a suspect and they are working through their processes at this time.
