Upgrades To Rothesay Intersection Begin Monday

You should expect delays at one Rothesay intersection starting this week.

Planned upgrades to the Hampton Road and Grove Avenue intersection begin Monday.

The upgrades include the installation of underground infrastructure for new traffic signals expected to be installed in the fall.

“The new traffic signals will improve the safety of the intersection for all roadway users; drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians,” the town said in a news release.

As a result of the upgrades, town officials say partial lane closures are expected at the busy intersection for the next six weeks.

They recommend considering alternate routes if you can.
