The city is hoping a developer will come forward to build a mixed commercial/residential project on Canterbury Street at Grannan Lane where there is a municipally owned parking lot with 47 spaces.
Brian Irving of Saint John Industrial Parks says the city is hoping for a pretty quick sale to get things moving with a call for proposals. The schedule calls for the proposals to be reviewed in the third week of July with a recommendation in August.
Keith Brideau of Historica developed the Canterbury Street parking garage across the street.
Irving says there has been a lot of unsolicited interest expressed in that property.
