A firefighter using a chainsaw to open up the roof of a large red house at the end of Pine Street.
Fire crews got the call over the lunch hour and quickly started sending more equipment and people to fight
the blaze.
Mark Wilson of the City fire department tells CHSJ News two adults and five kids have been displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
He says they will provide temporary accomodation and supplies.
The ladder truck could be seen on Crown street extending over to the roof of the home.
No word yet on the cause of the blaze.
