Thanks to the smart thinking of a Canadian soldier who brought acorns from Vimy Ridge home with him after the battle, many trees related to the originals are being planted all over the region.
The latest was planted this week at Ridgewood Veteran’s Hospital.
Bud Walsh served as a Peacekeeper in West Germany, Cyprus and at CFB Gagetown and was on hand for the ceremony.
John Graves thought the planting ceremony was just wonderful in memory of the boys we left over there.
