Water discolouration possible in Saint John

Do not be worried if your water is discoloured in Saint John over the next day or so.

Saint John Water says they are conducting repair work on a major water line.

“Customers may notice a temporary minor discolouration to their water, which is expected to clear up over the next 12-24 hours. The water is still safe to consume,” said a news release.

If you are experiencing discoloured water, it is recommended that you take a few minutes to flush out the water in your plumbing.

Turning on the bathtub tap for about 15 minutes will clear the sediment and draw fresh water into your plumbing, said the release.
