Water levels in the Quispamsis-Saint John region should begin falling by mid-week, according to the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization.
The latest forecast for the St. John River shows it will remain around 5.7 metres on Monday and Tuesday.
It’s expected to drop to 5.5 metres on Wednesday, 5.3 metres on Thursday and 5.0 metres on Friday.
Flood stage for this part of the St. John River is 4.2 metres.

Water levels will also drop in Fredericton, Maugerville, Sheffield-Lakeville Corner, Jemseg, Grand Lake and Oak Point, but will stay above flood stage at least through the end of the week.
